Karter just wants you to know . . .

. . . that today he is THREE months

(yep, count them fingers)

 and ZERO days.

 And that makes him really happy!

(yes the shirt says that "Mommy Rocks" and he wears it every day.) Kidding.

 At three months, Karter:

• has become a super easy baby.  He is very content most of the time!
• has found his hands and studies them extensively.
• is almost always moving. His arms and legs are always "swimming".
• if he is against something, he will push off with his feet and move quite well.
• likes tummy time.
• enjoys his bouncy chair alot - and he is good at bouncing it!
• is my easiest child right now (that doesn't say a lot for my other kids does it!)
• smiles super easy.
• has a contagious smile.  It is crazy how any of us can be in a bit of a bad mood or even a mad mood, but if we catch Karter's smile, we are transformed instantly. It is SOOOO fun to watch. The other day Kade came in in tears and was rather inconsolable, but Karter thought it was funny, and it wasn't long before Kade was laughing through his tears too.  SOOO CUTE!!!
• is ticklish and has started to laugh! LOVE it!
• doesn't do real well in the heat. Seems he takes after his daddy!
• LOVES the water.  He has been swimming a lot and without any protest at all. 
• loves it outside.  We put him in his bouncy chair outside if he is fussy, and this usually quiets him down rather quickly.
• is a cozy baby. He loves cuddling with me and I LOVE cuddling with him.
• talks quite a bit. We all love listening to that too . . . he gets quite excited sometimes and it is really cute.
• gives his brothers (especially Kevin) something to brag about.  They think he is the best!
• is always looking.  If you watch him, his big, blue eyes are always roving.
• gets scared/startled by loud noises occasionally.  This is SO sad, but also so cute . . . the bottom lip comes out and the loud wail . . . and then some cuddle time to reassure him.
• gets huge amounts of kisses daily.
• has the softest skin ever. (He has never had a bad skin stage (yet) like my other kids.)
• is putting on a bit of chub. (see for yourself!)
• drools A LOT!
• has started to spit up occasionally. He hardly did the first two months of his life.  Kevin has been the joyful recipient of his spit up numerous times - once all over his face! (I laughed. He was/and is pretty good about it for a 10 year old boy!)
• gets approx. 25% of his diapers changed by Kylie. She is a pro.
• sucks on his fingers/fist a lot - and he still loves his soother.
• welcomed yet another cousin - Reese!  so now its 2 girls & 2 boys on Jonathan's side and 3 boys on my side. FUN!!
• brings us huge amounts of joy.  We are so thankful for him.

p.s. And because it may seem that nothing else is happening in our lives except Karter growing older . . . I will assure you that it is NOT true.  I think I will have to do a big long picture post of June . . .because I don't want that month to disappear from our lives. We did a lot of fun things!!
