Karter at Two Months

My little dude is now 2 months. Time is still flying and I'm thinking that is just the way it's going to be for a bit. We are really enjoying Karter and taking lots of time for snuggles and smiles!

(this outfit (above) was first worn by Jeremy 12 years ago! It has made it through my boys too and has always been a favorite!!!)

Karter has really mellowed over the last month. He is pretty much an easy baby now - or maybe it just seems like it compared to his first few weeks.  At any rate, he is doing really well!
 At two months Karter:
  • still has absolutely no schedule - but that is still my fault, and I rather like the flexibility of it all;)
  • is not sleeping through the night, but always falls asleep very quickly after nursing, so I really don't feel like my night is too interrupted.
  • gives out lots of smiles!
  • talks and coos. I LOVE this!
  • loves having a clean diaper! I've never had a kid react so pleasantly to having a clean and dry bum.  It doesn't matter how grumpy he may have been, he will always be full of smiles after I've changed him. So funny! Hopefully this bodes well for toilet training  . . . not that I've thought of that or anything;)
  • is already living in his second house. (one per month:))  He survived our move and was excellent for me, allowing me to get lots accomplished in a short time.
  • likes his bouncy chair.
  • loves his soother.
  • is starting to really suck on his fist . . . maybe a thumb sucker coming??
  • loves to be cuddled.
  • doesn't seem to deal with heat very well . . . hopefully he improves in this area b/c I think the warm weather is just getting started!
  • loves the bath.
  • wears big boy clothes now:) I made myself wait till he was at least one month to move him out of sleepers.  Can you tell its not my first?!!!  I think pants/shirts make them grow up so fast - but they are OH SO CUTE TOO!!
  • is still gassy, but seems to have no problem getting it out . . hence his improved happiness!
  • will lay contentedly for long stretches just watching what is going on.
  • generally starts his "deeper" sleeping early in the evening - last few nights he has been out like a light by 8pm - and then awake for a quick nurse when we go to bed.
  • tolerates his siblings and their displays of affection rather well (most of the time!)
  • has big, blue, bright eyes! His eyes are his most commented on feature!  His big eyes often make him look worried and distressed . . . but when he smiles they are just so bright and sparkly!
  • has rounded out a fair bit . . . though I think he'll always have the build of Kevin (and their daddio!)
  • is no longer the "baby". He now has a cousin younger than him - who makes him look all grown up all of the sudden:(
  • has only had his finger/toe nails clipped once I think. They are like Kade's - they just don't seem to grow!
  • has a definite red tinge to his hair.  Will it stay?!!!
  • makes my day every day!

 Awwww!
We love you so much buddy boy!

Maybe he's following after Uncle Evan with the thumb sucking eh? haha (don't tell Evan I said that)
