Passing the time at the Port

We arrived home today after a 5 night camping trip with my side of the family. We had a wonderful time, although the time of course seemed very short. We enjoyed much, but also endured much - rain, wind, sand, mud. This was the first time it rained while we were there, but with the help of a few tarps, we did alright, and it dried up nicely - until the next rain. The kids never seem to mind and Kylie even had some of her happiest moments tromping around in the rain! Anyway, we had lots of beautiful sun and cozy campfires and coffee times as well. We had soccer, volleyball, and baseball games, swimming (though not a lot of it!), walking (especially in the early morning before noise should be made), biking, and trails - so a good time was had by all - although we haven't asked the opinions of the 1 year olds! A neighbouring camper put it nicely - "Oh that poor baby - it never stops crying - it is just not a happy camper!" Well - we can't really blame it on one baby - but a cry sounds like a cry to most, and so put 5 possible crying babies in a small area, and it could sound pretty continuous! Anyway, here are some pictures of some of the happenings of our vacation.

  1. Beautiful pictures Denise! I had to say that I was quite worried that you guys were having a terrible time in all that rain. Glad to hear that wasn't the case:)
