Karter At Eleven Months

And . . . he just keeps on growing!! And progressing!!

At 11 Months Karter:

• still has seven teeth - same many as he had at seven months.  I think this is a little strange!
• is getting into plenty of trouble - climbing places he ought not to be!
• is still doing really well with sleeping and seems to thrive with routine. (usually will sleep from approx. 8-7 through the night and then usually two naps (shorter ones) if we are home all day.)
• has been to Florida!
• did not seem to totally appreciate the change in routine that Florida brought - his eating, sleeping, and general cheerfulness were all put on hold for a while - though he was still pretty sweet considering!
• has graduated from his baby car seat to his big boy seat. We put him in it for the first time as we headed to Florida - he liked it! (at first!!! - he didn't like it for all 17 hours he was in it though - quite undertandably!)
• is walking!! Still a little wobbly and rammy, but it sure is cute! He always has his hands up in the air for balance and almost always a smile on his face. He really seems to love it!
• seems to enjoy music
• has really no use for his baby toys. Time for me to bring up some new things.
• loves my lazy susan cupboard and throwing all my cans out.  He also loves the cupboard under the sink with the dishsoap in it.
• loves applejuice in his bottle.
• cannot clap his hands without smiling.  If he is ever grumpy, the kids just start singing, "Clap Your Hands, All You People . . . ."
• understands stairs and their dangers - when he is at the top.  Not so much when he is mid climb.
• eats really well - mostly the same as we do.
• knows that suckers are good and yummy! (Thanks Grandpa:)!)
• likes "swimming" - absolutely no hesitation about going in the pool.
• gets sad when he can't find me in the house. He will patter around looking for a while first and then you hear the sad little sniffles come . . .
• has a fabuolous laugh.!
• is maybe getting to the point where he needs a haircut . . . . but I'm hanging on:)
• pushes our stools all over the house and gets mad at them when he gets stuck.
• is a bit of a mess maker.
• gives big yummy kisses!
• is loved!  

He loves this sister of his!

He got into a stamp or stamp pad here. Doesn't it make his eyes even bluer?!!!

 This is on his first boat ride. You can see that he found it quite riveting!
