Back to School 2017

Back to school . . comes way too fast every year.  This was a big year for us again in some ways! Karter is off to Kindergarten. It's been a long time since I sent a kid off to Kindergarten.  Karter was extremely ready and excited so it was not too hard too let him go. I was happy for him, but sad to lose him at home every day. I'm thankful for the schedule CCS has - only Tuesdays and Thursdays. This is a great balance. We still get to enjoy him at home lots! Probably next year will be a much bigger deal and much sadder!

We had to be prompt (especially) for the first month of school since our road was closed. I had to drive about a km down the road to catch the bus. It kept us moving well in the morning.
(and the kids made me take the picture at home and NO pictures at the bus stop . . even though it was Opa driving again!)

September 23,2017  - The soccer tournament in Grimsby. It was an incredibly HOT day!  This soccer tournament has been very chilly to very hot . . a new surprise every year! The boys did well and Kade nabbed a few goals, but they missed the playoffs by a goal.
It is always fun to do well and move on, but we were okay with it this year - first because it was so HOT and tiring for the kids, and second because Kade and I were headed up to the cottage (RLL) for a few days (Jonathan and the rest of the kids minus Kevin had left that morning and we were hoping to get there before dark)

Kade won the award for his grade.
Some of the ideas that kids come up with are amazing! I tend to be a little last minute lately - nothing crazy, but still a display of school spirit. The kids love these days and they are good for the student body.
