As we continue to plod along through the "winter that really was winter", the kids were really getting after me to take them sledding. I was hearing things like, "This house is so boring. Our old house was WAY funner. There is nothing to do here." Translated (though it took me a while): At our old house, there was a hill right down the road and you took us or dropped us off there all the time. You haven't taken us sledding ONCE yet this winter and we've had three months of snow!
So on Family Day they loaded up the van and we went to town. The one side of the hill was very busy, so we drove around to the other side and had the hill to ourselves. It may not have been quite as big, but it had jumps and bumps and you still went down . . . and fast . . and we had it all to ourselves:)
The saucers were the funnest I think. Karter and I raced against Kylie a bunch of times till Karter got too grumpy:(.
Karter really wasn't impressed by any of it. Not sure why. It really wasn't that cold out and he got ride after ride and got carried or pulled up the hill every time. Can't get much better if you ask me!
Kevin, Kade, and Kylie LOVED it though and would have stayed all afternoon if Karter would have cooperated.
Kevin and Kade did lots of snowboard practice on the jumps.
(and they took turns laying right behind the jump while the other person boarded over top of them)
The kids all got hot and shed their coats rather quickly.
Love this picture:)
